Gardena
Pop. 60

Located on the North Fork of the Payette River, Gardena received its name from Oregon Short Line Railroad officials in 1914. Some say the name was chosen to make the area sound appealing to potential settlers. However, the name did little to attract homesteaders, and the town retains its historic small population.
