Banida

Upon its early twentieth century founding near Bannock and Oneida Counties, Banida was noted for its abundant fertile soil and was logically named, Richfield. The name didn’t stick for long, though, and the town voted in 1908 to combine the Bannock and Oneida county names into the new community name “Banida.” Four years later, postal services were obtained.
